SyncStream Promotes Ashley Pope to Chief Operating Officer


SyncStream, a leading ACA compliance and reporting company, is proud to announce the appointment of Ashley Pope as its new Chief Operations Officer. Reporting directly to CEO Shannon Scott, Ashley brings a wealth of experience in customer service, business operations, and Affordable Care Act (ACA) expertise to her role as a member of SyncStream's senior leadership team.

As COO, Ashley will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and advancing the company's vision and mission. She will work towards enhancing operational processes and setting actionable goals to drive growth and revenue.

Ashley started her tenure at SyncStream as a Customer Care Representative. Her focus on improving processes and ACA subject matter expertise led to her promotion as Development Director. Most recently, Ashley served as SyncStream’s Vice President of Operations where she oversaw the Operations and Development teams.

As part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) individual mandate penalty was repealed effective January 1, 2019; however, the TCJA did not repeal the employer mandate nor its reporting requirements. Employers should be prepared to respond to IRS Employer Shared Responsibility Provision (ESRP) penalty letters and continue to prepare for 2024 reporting, which will occur in the first quarter of 2025.
